Best Yoga Studios in London

Whenever people ask me how I stay in shape, I always give four main answers; eating well, running, tennis and yoga. When it comes to yoga, the beauty is that once you know the basics, you can practice anywhere, any time. But where can you learn the basics?

One of my personal favourite ways to stay in shape is with yoga. Whether it’s jetting off to a yoga retreat or finding half an hour out of my busy schedule for a quick class in the capital, it’s a key part of my health and fitness regime. If you’re looking for the best places to do yoga in London, here are a few of my favourite spots…

Light Centre

My personal favourite place to practice is at the Light Centre. I particularly recommend Emma’s classes, I love her Yin Yoga sessions, which are suitable for all levels of experience. With more than 30 classes to choose from each week there’s something on the schedule for everyone, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket and Yin Yoga. From £14

Bhuti Yoga

I’m a big fan of the new ‘wellness club’ offering in London, and Bhuti in Richmond offers a range of seriously good yoga classes alongside workspaces and members lounges. I’d recommend the Iyengar yoga classes for a cross between energising and relaxing practice that is a great start to the day. They also offer a host of alternative therapies such as tarot reading and reflexology so keep an eye on the schedule. Classes from £16

Frame Kings Cross

If you’re in north London, check out Frame Kings Cross. The ‘anti-desk yoga’ is specifically designed to ease tensions in office workers so it’s a good option if you’re stuck behind a desk most of the day. The studios are all really well-decorated, which is important for getting in the right headspace, too. Classes from £9

If you feel like escaping London…

My favourite yoga retreat is Yoga Rosa in Ibiza. You can read my full review here, it’s a full wellness and yoga escape that I’d highly recommend.
