Looking for the best blow dry in London? Whether you’ve got a big event, party or occasion on the horizon that you want to look your best for, or you simply want a little pick-me-up, nothing can transform your look more quickly than an excellent blow dry. I’ve picked out six of the best blow dry bars in the city for you to check out, and if you’re based in New York or headed across the pond, I’ve added a couple of options in NYC, too. If I’ve missed any hidden gems, I’d love to hear about them from you!
Best Blow Dries In London
A must-visit new flagship for this celebrity and industry favourite, as well as a head-turning glossy blow dry, you’ll also find Dryby nails, Brows by Suman and The Sarah Bradden Method at this beauty haven. There’s even a Farm Girl café for a healthy pick-me-up after your glow-up.
Known as one of the best salons in London, if luxury is what you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. The cushioned chairs and relaxing head massage are worth the blow dry price tag alone, but you’ll also enjoy a bespoke hair product regime and leave with a gorgeous glossy blow dry.
Paul Edmonds, Knightsbridge & Battersea
The likes of Keira Knightley and Margot Robbie trust Paul Edmonds with their tresses, and they’re not alone. Paul Edmonds is the official partner for the BAFTAs so you can expect red carpet results. The Battersea Power Station outpost offers a licensed bar and lie-down hair spa. Yes please.
The signature look at Mayfive Chiswick are soft, glossy waves for the ultimate off-duty style. All the salon’s stylists are talented, the Davines products will leave hair feeling and smelling incredible, and the salon puppy will cheer up every visitor.
With four outposts across West London, Hari’s is known for its hair colour expertise, but they offer a gorgeous blow dry in a hurry, too. When they closed for lockdown they quickly amassed a waiting list in the thousands, and they haven’t let up since reopening, with many locals returning for a weekly reset.
This New York/London hybrid salon is discreet on the outside but inside it’s Instagram-worthy with plenty of marble and rose gold fittings. The blow dries are excellent, as is the nail bar downstairs, visited by many of the city’s fashion and beauty editors on their lunch breaks.
& Across The Pond… Best New York Blow Dries
I know many of my readers are based in New York too, so if you’re on the other side of the Atlantic and looking for a great blow dry in a hurry, check out your nearest Dry Bar for a fast, reliable and chic hair makeover. Rachel Zoe and Robin Moraetes’ DreamDry is also one of the best locations in the city for a blow dry.
Stay tuned for my full post on the best blow dries in New York, next month!
