6 of the Best: New Season Perfumes

When it comes to perfume it’s really easy to reach for a tried and trusted signature scent time and time again. But I love nothing more than being introduced to new fragrances, especially by industry friends. This season, there are a host of new options available, just in time for party season. Here are my favourites…

With summer scents firmly packed away for another year and the autumnal favourites slowly being replaced with rich, party season picks, it’s time to find the best new perfumes for winter. I have a few go-tos that I always reach for at this time of year, such as Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir, but I also love discovering new fragrances through friends and clients. Here’s my pick of the best new perfumes on the market this season…

6 of the Best: Winter Perfumes

  1. Diptyque Vetyverio Eau de Parfum, £105

This EDT was one of my favourite autumnal perfumes, and the new EDP version is even better. Woody and warm, it’s just the ticket for this time of year.

  2. Gucci Bloom, £99

More girly than my usual choice but I like this heady floral scent, which is the first fragrance to be released under the guidance of the creative director Alessandro Michele. The bottle is so pretty, too.

  3. Jo Malone London English Oak & Redcurrant, £90

I always prefer perfumes that smell like real ingredients rather than chemicals, which is why I love Jo Malone London’s fragrances. This new season scent is centred on the English oak tree with notes of redcurrants, green mandarin and white musk. It’s surprisingly light.

  4. Vilhelm Parfumerie Do Not Disturb Eau de Parfum, £145

The perfect bottle to place on your desk facing outwards when you’ve got some serious work to do! I’ll be giving bottles of this lovely new floral Vilhelm scent, inspired by the Old Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe to special friends this festive season.

  5. Glossier You, £45

Have you read my post introducing you to my favourite picks from the Glossier brand? This new perfume from the beauty brand of the moment clean, warm scent that is subtle enough to wear at any time of year. I have to be careful not to wear anything too overpowering since I work so closely to clients, and this is a great option.

  6. My Burberry Blush Eau de Parfum, £99

Winter doesn’t have to mean rich amber, wood and musk; bring back the sunshine with My Burberry Blush, one of my favourites – it’s a light fruity floral that will suit everyone.
