It’s always good in the madness of London Fashion Week, to remember to take a moment to relax and catch my breath. This season I’ll be doing so by enjoying some gorgeous art by my hugely talented friend Franco. FRAGILE, an Exhibition of Photographs by Franco Gobbi is open at Asia House Gallery from 16 to 20 September.
The exhibition accompanies a book published by Damiani Editore. FRAGILE is ‘a visual study of ephemeral beauty and reflects on Gobbi’s renowned work as a hair artist working with the most influential models in the world’. The show features model Mariacarla Boscono, who wrote the forward for Franco’s book alongside myself!
It also features the likes of Behati Prinsloo, Catherin McNeil, Coco Rocha, Constance Jabloski, Crystal Renn, Guinevere Van Seenus, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Joan Smalls, karen Elson, Lea T, Lilly Donaldson to name but a few. Quite the line-up!
The exhibition will feature classically printed images along with these experimental glass panels. Franco uses a blurred effect to evoke a state of glass-like fragility that is so beautiful – trust me, take the opportunity to check it out in person.
