I have always been a big fan of yoga retreats and meditation has become an integral part of everyday life for many over the last year. While there’s something amazing about the escapism of a music festival, more and more wellness festivals are popping up to allow people to get outdoors and connect, while they learn more about wellbeing practices and take part in group sessions and activities. Ready to dive in? Here are three UK wellness festivals worth checking out in 2021.
Wilderness
Set in Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, Wilderness Festival combines a traditional music festival (with a great line up) with wellness activities like wild swimming, fireside cooking sessions and mindfulness classes. There are yoga brunch clubs, foraging workshops, supper clubs and live theatre shows, plus a spa to enjoy while you’re there.

Soul Circus
This yoga and wellbeing festival is located at the Cotswold hills of Elmore near Gloucester. Visitors can try different types of yoga, from aerial to restorative and enjoy healthy food, live music and DJs, before chilling out in a lakeside hot tub. There are also plenty of other exercise classes such as barre and boxing to try out, if you’re looking for something more energetic.

VERVE
VERVE festival is set in the beautiful Cranborne Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Activities include sound baths, yoga classes, storytelling and farm runs. You can check out talks on topics such as sober curiosity and fertility and guests can also explore the non-alcoholic bar, try a CBD IV drip, and attend supper clubs. It is also one of the UK’s first zero waste festivals, and there’s no plastic on site, making it a great eco-friendly option.
