Day to day in work and at home I always lean toward the natural look, with a skin-first approach to makeup. But for special events and party season, the more lashes the better! If you’re not blessed with long, voluminous lashes (very few are) then there’s only so much mascara can do, fake lashes can be a godsend. The best false eyelashes can transform your look in seconds. But where to buy them and how to apply them? I’ve rounded up a few of the best false eyelashes on the market, along with the best lash bars where you can let the professionals do their work.

Top Tips for Application

  1. Start by trimming your lashes to size by holding them against your lash line and then trim off any excess.
  2. Ensure your own lashes are clean and dry before starting application, the fake lashes should be applied before you add mascara.
  3. Next, add the lash glue to the lashes and allow to air dry for 30 seconds or until it’s slightly tacky.
  4. Using a pair of tweezers, apply the lashes as close as possible to your lash line, holding in place until dry.
  5. Allow to dry completely, then curl and add several coats of mascara to help the lashes stay in place as long as possible. I love the Max Factor Masterpiece HD Waterproof.
