In My Kit: Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess

There aren’t many all-in-one makeup palettes or kits on the market that actually deliver what they promise, but Charlotte Tilbury has really nailed it. In my series of ‘in my kit’ posts, I share some of my favourite products that actually deserve to be described as having a cult following; and tell you how to use them. Today, it’s Charlotte Tilbury’s Golden Goddess kit.

As you know, my signature makeup looks are all about super-clean skin and barely-there colour. But there are few people who deliver all-out glamour better than Charlotte Tilbury. And her eponymous makeup line has allowed fans to buy her signature looks right off the counter, with full looks available to purchase as kits. While creating a ‘look’ in this way is really hard to get right, Charlotte has absolutely nailed it, and her collections are perfect for achieving a look in a hurry, or for gifting. (They are also beloved by boyfriends and husbands who know they’re going to get it right by buying and gifting these cleverly packaged collections for a special occasion.)

My favourite of Charlotte Tilbury’s looks is her Golden Goddess collection. How To Wear It

The great thing about Charlotte’s kits is that if you use them as instructed (check out her video tutorials) you can achieve an all-out party look with ease. Personally, I love having a variety of products and cherry-picking the one focal area to create a strong eye or lip. From this kit, I love the eye makeup products for creating a soft and sultry burnt smoky eye. Use a little of the champagne-toned shadow under the lower lash line to soften the look and create a more lived-in look.
