Working on the shoot with Inez and Vinoodh for Paris Vogue’s July issue with Fashion Stylist, Geraldine Saglio and Hair Stylist, Ward was loads of fun. It was a really creative shoot with a huge range of different looks for the styling, hair and makeup which I always love.
As we wait in eager anticipation to find out what the new season’s trends will be, take a closer look at the beauty looks I created for this shoot on top models:
Alisa Ahmann, Anna Ewers, Antonina Petkovic, Lexi Boling, Lineisy Montero, Maria Borges, Natasha Poly and Rianne Van Rompaey.
The story had quite a rock ‘n roll feel to it with the girls hanging out backstage getting ready for the show. Some of the looks I created on the models were staple runway favourites – a smudgey liner look, a pared back nude lip and of course gorgeous, luminous skin, but on some of the shots, I created really exaggerated, high impact makeup looks.
One of the makeup looks I created on Anna Ewers and Natasha Poly featured a major Rock ‘n Roll eyeliner look. I started by using Burberry’s Effortless Kohl in Jet Black to line the eyes and draw out the design underneath the eyes. I then went back in with a small brush and Mac Blacktrack to intensify and add to the staying power of the liner look.
Glitter was a big trend from last season on the runways, but the look I created on Rianne using loads of colourful glitter was on a whole new level – it was a really major look! I applied Mac Mixing Medium over the face where I wanted to apply the glitter and used a flat brush to press the glitter onto the face. I started with a vibrant orange glitter on her forehead, blending layers of gold and silver glitter around the eyes and across the bridge of the nose, adding larger sized gold glitter underneath the eye to keep the look cool and modern.
