Shalom Brune-Franklin Cat Eye Makeup: Get The Look

Statement cat eyes are a timeless makeup look, whatever time of year it is. For statement eyes, a pared-back lip and a slicked-back hairstyle contrast perfectly. Want to recreate Shalom Brune-Franklin’s look? Here’s how.

When you’re creating a look to go with a pared-down hairstyle or outfit, it’s fun to play with a statement makeup style. Shalom Brune-Franklin is so gorgeous that she can carry off absolutely any style, so working with her is a dream! For a Miu Miu screening in London, Shalom had slicked back hair and a chic grey coat, so we decided to create a bold feline flick on the eye to make a splash. Of course, as the ‘master of nude’, skin is at the heart of this look, too, so I prepped Shalom’s skin using Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis 3D Moisture Infusion mask before applying colour. We created a soft glow to her complexion and left lips nude (but hydrated of course!) with just a hint of tint, to let her eyes draw attention. I also used a blonde brow gel to fade out brows rather than adding depth, again placing more emphasis on the cat eye. Wondering what liquid liner I used? MAC’s Liquidlast Liner is a kit essential!
