AW23 Makeup Trends To Try Now

Go Gothic

Goth-inspired makeup was a standout trend on the AW23 runways, with designers like Rodarte, Versace, and Anna Sui opting for bold, dark looks to accompany their new season collections. The makeup featured exaggerated winged eyeliner, larger-than-life lashes, and crystalized red lips. The look is being dubbed as ‘goth fairy’ by Allure. This trend was also seen in Paris, where goth-girl liner made a comeback as a standout look.

Bold Lips

Deep, rich red lips were a popular trend on the AW23 runways, with designers like Schiaparelli showcasing beautiful deep red lips and Balenciaga’s models showcasing deep plum wet-look lips for a high-fashion shine.

Feather Lashes

Long, feathery lashes were an eye-catching trend on the AW23 runways, with Prada showcasing pastel, feathery lashes and Sergio Hudson showing fluttering long lengths. These were taken to the extreme at Chet Lo, too, with statement lower lashes.

Graphic Liner

Graphic liner remains a popular trend for AW23, with designers like Valentino showcasing bold, graphic liner looks. Bold, graphic eyes are fun for party season, but a feline flick works well for everyday wear this season.

Hair: Go Dishevelled

This season, dishevelled hair took centre stage, with designers like Chanel and Miu Miu (hair by Guido) showcasing artfully messy manes and backcombed locks. The messy bedhead hair trend was also seen in Paris. For a more statement AW23 hair trend, try the wet-look locks at Balenciaga.
